1. How does Truck Tracker GPS work?
The Truck Tracker GPS device is installed on your vehicle. The Global Positioning Satellites positioned all over the world interpret the coordinates of your vehicles. The Truck Tracker GPS device will connect to the internet using a cellular network to send the coordinates. The coordinates are received through the internet by your server or computer. It allows you to see data in real time on maps. The computer stores the data. The Truck Tracker GPS records stop and start times, idle times, speed alerts, route history, and alert history. It allows you to see data in real time on maps. All the data is stored on your computer and available for easy to use reporting.
2. How often are my vehicles tracked?
You have the ability to set the perimeters. Most people set data records at intervals of every 1 to 5 minutes.

Truck Tracker GPS will record the current location of a vehicle, the route history, stop and start times, idle times, and speed alerts.
4. Can I map out an optimal route for a vehicle with Truck Tracker GPS?
Yes, you can map out a route by type of road way access you select or shortest mileage route.

The data is stored on your computer/server until you delete it.

No, you are not limited by how many vehicles may be tracked. Each vehicle requires a GPS hardware device to transmit data to the GPS software.

Truck Tracker GPS uses Microsoft Fleet Edition MapPoint mapping software. It is a more robust software with many advanced features.
8. Do I need to purchase extra user licenses if more than one user needs to access the Truck Tracker GPS on the computer?
Every computer that needs to access the Microsoft MapPoint mapping software will need to purchase and additional Microsoft MapPoint license.
9. Do I have the ability to create additional reports other than what Truck Tracker GPS provides?
Yes, with Microsoft SQL database it allows you to export data and create reports in Excel and third party software programs.

Yes, with Microsoft SQL database it allows you to export data and create reports in Excel and third party software programs.

12. What happens if vehicles are out of a cellular coverage range?
The data will continue to be recorded and stored. Once a cellular signal is received again the data will be transmitted through the internet to your computer/server.
13. Can the Truck Tracker GPS hardware device monitor or control external peripherals connected to my vehicle?
Yes, each GPS device can be configured to monitor up to 4 analog or digital sensors, gauges or voltage sources. It can also be configured to us a driver panic switch, ignition kill switch or remote door unlocking.
14. Does Truck Tracker GPS offer hardware or software training?
Yes. A scheduled training session at your jobsite with one of our professional team members can be arranged for an additional charge.
15. What type of support would I receive?
The Truck Tracker Maintenance and Support Agreement provides you with a toll free number for technical support, 24/7 e-mail support, free maintenance release updates, and free version upgrades to your software program.
16. What is required to install Truck Tracker GPS?
A dedicated computer that meets the requirements of Truck Tracker 6.0 and a high speed internet connection with a static IP address.
17. Who does the installation?
You can choose to make your own arrangements for installation of the GPS hardware or we have professional service contractors across the nation that we can schedule to install the devices for you.
18. Where would the GPS Hardware device be installed?
The hardware can be installed anywhere in the vehicle, typically underneath the dashboard, the seat, or in the trunk. Connections must be made to an always on power source, ignition switched power source, and a ground. The antenna must be placed in view of the sky, typically on the inside of the windshield or the roof of the vehicle.
